Hello again!

Long time no see! Things have been pretty busy around here recently, thus the lack of posting.
I guess it's time to announce that we are MOVING very soon, so stick around
for more details in the near future.
We have many new images to show, but here is the most recent: Marilyn!
We have had tons of seniors in here lately, so we'll be sure to update you with new pictures very soon :)

Trenton Fire Belles Car Show

Sorry for the lack in posting! We had a SUPER busy week,
and we will have plenty of pictures to show you soon :)

We were invited by the Trenton Fire Belles to set up
a booth at last Saturday's car show in the Yardbirds parking lot.
We had an AWESOME time!
Here are some pictures.

I got to climb the ladder on the fire truck to take some pictures
of all of the cars.

Thanks for letting us be a part of this,
Trenton Fire Belles!

The Combs family

What a tough week!
We had tons of shoots this week, but they all had to be canceled because of the storms.
What a bummer :(

We did get to fit one session in before the rain...
Meet the Combs family!
They are such a great family, and they do so much for the community.
We are so happy that we got to do their family portraits!
We went to a nearby park to do their pictures with their 1937 Chevy.
Here are some of their favorites.

Gilbert... again!

Well it turns out that he warmed up to us sooner than we thought!
I took just a couple pictures of him and here they are :)

Gilbert

We have a new member of the family!!!!!
We just got a guinea pig today.
His name is Gilbert.
He's still getting used to his new home,
so I'll wait until he's a little more comfortable to take better pictures of him.

Custom Effects

As promised, here are the ins and outs of our custom effects!

First up we have our color wash.
This can be best described as half black and white,
half color, with a dark brown overlay.
Here are some before and after examples.
(click any of these images to enlarge)

Next, I made an example of all of our effects with the same image.
(click image to enlarge if needed)

#1. Color image.
#2.
Classic black and white.
#3. Graphics. You can see the subtle swirls in the corners.
Many studios charge extra for these, but we gladly add them at no charge!
#4. Color wash. As mentioned above, it is half black and white,
half color, with a hint of dark brown. It's a very classic, antiqued look.
#5. Cross processed. This is a new look of ours.
We "antique" the picture by adding
yellow and brown to give it a vintage feel.
We also add graphics to give it a little something extra.

All of these extras are completely free!

Don't forget about our special going on this week only,
a free 8by10 if you call and book an appointment on/before Friday, May 23rd!

Courtnay

We're going to do things a little differently on this post.
Most studios just give you the option of "black and white" or "color" pictures.
Along with those two options, we have
  • Cross processing
  • Graphics
  • Color wash
In this post, I'll point out to you which is which.
Our next blog will go more in depth into each, so stay tuned!

Meet Courtnay!
This first picture is an example of our cross processing.
We also added some graphics to make the image unique.

Black and white

The next two are in color wash.

And the rest are in color!

As I said before, be sure to check back soon to read all about our new techniques!

Our first post!

Hey! Cassie here. I guess I'll use this first post to tell you about our studio.
We opened August 1st, 2007. We specialize in child, senior, family, and pet photography.
Both Christopher and I are graduates of the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology in Dayton. Our studio is located at 3073 Wayne Madison Rd in the old farm house in front of the Store and Lock.
We are both very easy going people, and our studio reflects that. We strive to make your sessions and stress free as possible.
I'll be sure to update frequently with recent clients and specials.

Here are some examples of our work!
